Our Mission

A Bridge from Despair To Redemption

At COPE Ministry (Christian Outreach Programme Evangelist), we believe that the streets are not just a place of struggle—they are a harvest field. Our mission is built on the radical truth that nobody is too far gone, and anyone can be saved.

What We Do: Faith in Action

“From the pulpit to the pavement: Delivering hope, education, and the ‘Voice of Victory’ across the Wakefield district.”

We don’t wait for people to find hope; we take hope to the people. Our mission is focused on three specific areas of action:

1. Going to the Harvest Field

We believe in “boots on the ground” ministry. You will often see us across the Wakefield district, meeting the homeless, the addicted, and the vulnerable exactly where they are. We can provide a hot drink, a listening ear, and the light of Christ in the darkest corners of our city.

2. Sharing the “Voice of Victory”

Our foundation is built on a miracle. Fin Dalton spent 33 years trapped in addiction and violence as a career enforcer. Today, he uses his raw, honest testimony to prove that if God can transform his life, He can do it for anyone. This “Voice of Victory” is the heartbeat of our outreach.

3. Discipleship & Education

A “New Beginning” needs a roadmap. We provide accessible tools to help people grow in their faith, regardless of their reading level or background:

  • The 5-Minute New Testament Challenge
  • The COPE Bible Cinema Library
  • Verse-by-Verse Audio Bibles

Who Benefits from COPE Ministry?

We support the entire “ecosystem” of addiction, recognizing that when one person struggles, the whole community feels the impact.

  • The Addict & The Homeless They benefit from peer mentorship provided by someone who has “lived it.” At COPE, there is no shock and no judgment—only a spiritual roadmap and a hand to pull you out of the dark.
  • Families & Partners Led by Adele Dalton, our Family Support Forum provides a sanctuary for those loving an addict. Partners benefit from a community that understands the specific trauma of the struggle without judging their choices.
  • The Local Church & Community Churches and outreaches can benefit from Fin’s “Inspirational Testimony Talks.” These are tailored for different audiences, ranging from child-friendly school sessions to hard-hitting versions for prisons and rehab centers.
  • The Spiritual Seeker Anyone who feels overwhelmed by the Bible or traditional religion benefits from our simplified “roadmap” approach to the scriptures, designed for clarity and emotional connection.
  • Financial Integrity: As a small non-profit, we operate with a live accountability ledger, ensuring every penny donated goes directly to the streets and the mission.
  • Legal Public Witness: We operate under the Street Preacher’s Charter, ensuring our outreach is conducted with respect, integrity, and within the legal framework of the UK.
