Frequently Asked Questions

We know that reaching out can be a big step, and you might have some questions before you get in touch.

Here are the answers to the things people ask us most often.

About the Ministry

Is COPE a charity or a church?

COPE (Christian Outreach Programme Evangelist) is a frontline ministry founded by Fin Dalton. While we work very closely with Connect City Church (CCC) Wakefield, our primary focus is outreach—going where the people are, sharing testimony, and offering a bridge through faith.

Do I have to be a Christian to get help?

Absolutely not. We meet people exactly where they are. Whether you have a different faith or no faith at all, you are welcome here. We share how Jesus changed Fin’s life, but our support and kindness are available to everyone without strings attached.

Is there a cost for your services?

No, all our services are provided free of charge. From our street outreach to the Family Support Forum, we believe hope should be accessible to everyone without a price tag. The only thing we ask is that travel expenses are covered for out-of-area speaking engagements.

If you feel led to support our mission, you can make a Donation or visit our Etsy Store Every contribution helps us keep reaching those in need.

For Addicts & Those Struggling

I’ve done some bad things. Will I be judged?

Fin spent 33 years in addiction and worked as an enforcer. There is very little he hasn’t seen or done. You cannot shock us, and you will not be judged.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. — Romans 8:1

We don’t care where you’ve been; we only care about where you’re going.

Can Fin help me get into rehab?

While we are not a medical facility, we can provide spiritual mentorship and help signpost you to local professional services and recovery groups in Wakefield and Leeds that can assist with the clinical side of detox and rehab.]

For Families & Partners

My loved one is still using. Can I still join the forum?

Yes. The Family Support Forum is for you, not the addict. It is a place for you to find strength, set healthy boundaries, and talk to people like Adele who have lived through the exact same struggle.

Booking & Speaking

Can I book Fin to speak at my church or school?

Yes. Fin travels across the UK to share his “Voice of Victory” testimony. He has versions of his story suitable for schools (Child Friendly) and hard-hitting versions for prisons, rehabs, and men’s groups. Please use our [Booking Form] to check availability.
