What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. It is usually held in cafes, homes, community centers or a church where people gather to eat, watch a short film, and share their thoughts.
The three key ingredients to every Alpha:
- Food: Most sessions start with food because it’s a great way to settle in and get to know people.
- Talk: We watch a short film (about 25 minutes) that explores a big issue of faith, such as “Who is Jesus?” or “How can I have faith?”
- Discussion: This is the best part. You can share your thoughts, ask anything, or just listen. There is no question too simple or wrong..
